Personalised Care for Every Stage of a Woman’s Life
Comprehensive Fertility & Women’s Health Services
Infertility Diagnosis and Treatment
Understanding the underlying causes of infertility is the first step toward effective treatment. Under the care of Dr Roland Chieng, Medical Director of Virtus Fertility Centre Singapore, patients undergo comprehensive investigations such as hormone and AMH blood tests, ultrasound scans, and semen analysis to evaluate both female and male factors.
In-vitro Fertilisation (IVF)
IVF is an assisted reproductive technique that helps couples conceive by fertilising eggs and sperm outside the body under controlled laboratory conditions. Each treatment plan is carefully tailored to the couple’s individual medical profile. From ovarian stimulation to embryo transfer, every stage is closely monitored to maximise precision and safety.
Intra-uterine Insemination (IUI)
IUI is a fertility treatment that places specially prepared sperm directly into the uterus during ovulation to improve the chances of conception. Under the guidance of our doctor, every IUI cycle is precisely timed and individually planned to optimise success while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
Elective Egg Freezing
Egg freezing allows women to preserve their fertility and plan for pregnancy later in life. Our doctor provides medically guided egg freezing services performed with precision, safety, and confidentiality within a fully accredited laboratory at Orchard.
Advanced Gynae Laparoscopy
Advanced gynaecological laparoscopy offers a minimally invasive approach to diagnosing and treating reproductive conditions that may affect fertility or cause pelvic pain. At Roland Chieng Fertility & Women Care, Dr Roland Chieng, Medical Director of Virtus Fertility Centre Singapore, performs precise laparoscopic procedures designed to restore reproductive health and preserve fertility.
Fertility Issues in Oncology
Cancer and its treatments can impact future fertility. It often brings difficult decisions about future health, family, and fertility. We provide comprehensive fertility counselling and preservation options, such as egg, sperm, or embryo freezing, for oncology patients before treatment begins.
Pregnancy Care
The first trimester of pregnancy is a crucial time for monitoring and reassurance. Dr Roland provides early pregnancy care up to 12 weeks, ensuring a safe transition from conception to established pregnancy before referring patients to trusted obstetricians for continued care.
Womenʼs Health Screening
Regular women’s health screening helps detect potential conditions early and supports long-term reproductive wellness. At Roland Chieng Fertility & Women Care, our doctor provides comprehensive health and fertility-focused screenings designed to protect every stage of a woman’s reproductive life.
Ultrasound
Ultrasound imaging plays a vital role in fertility assessment and early pregnancy care. All ultrasounds are performed in-clinic by Dr Roland Chieng to ensure accuracy, privacy, and continuity of care.
Papsmear
A Pap smear is a simple and essential test to screen for early changes in cervical cells that could lead to cervical cancer. At our clinic, Dr Roland performs Pap smear screenings in a private and comfortable environment, ensuring early detection and peace of mind.
Our Consultation Process
-
Initial Consultation
Your fertility journey begins with a comprehensive consultation conducted personally by Dr Roland Chieng. During this session, he will review your medical and reproductive history, assess any previous investigations, and may perform an ultrasound scan to better understand your fertility profile. Both partners are encouraged to attend this first consultation, where Dr Chieng will also discuss your fertility goals and outline possible next steps.
-
Diagnostic Assessment
Following the consultation, relevant investigations are arranged to identify potential factors affecting fertility. Blood tests and ultrasound scans can be performed conveniently within our clinic, while semen analysis may be carried out at our affiliated partner, Virtus Fertility Centre. Results are typically available within 24 hours, enabling timely review and planning.
-
Treatment Planning and Follow-Up
Once all results are available, Dr Roland Chieng will discuss the findings and recommend a personalised treatment plan. Depending on your needs, this may include ovulation induction, intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilisation (IVF), or other appropriate interventions. Follow-up appointments can be scheduled by calling us, in person, or via our WhatsApp. Our nursing team is available during office hours to assist with queries, and an after-hours contact line is provided for urgent matters.
Are You Due for a Fertility Check? Key Signs to Look Out For
Recognising early signs of gynaecological and fertility-related conditions can make all the difference in seeking timely care. It is best to get a fertility check if you answer “Yes” to any of the following:
Abdominal/Pelvic Pain
Recurring discomfort in your pelvic or lower abdominal pain may be a sign of underlying conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, or ovarian cysts.
Irregular Cycles
Cycles that are too long, too short, or unpredictable may be caused by hormonal issues or ovulatory disorders such as PCOS.
Difficulty conceiving
If you have been trying to conceive for over a year (or over six months if you are over 35) without success, a fertility assessment can help provide support and options.
Persistent Bloating
Frequent bloating may not always be related to food, and may be a sign of hormonal imbalances or reproductive health concerns.
Pain during Intercourse
Discomfort during intimacy is more common than you may realise, and may be one of the signs of fertility issues.
Frequent Miscarriages
Although emotionally difficult, discussing with a specialist about past miscarriages may help assess underlying issues.
